Gerd Schumacher is a lawyer specialized in tax law and he was a banker.
He was born in 1960, grew up in Cologne and he studied law in Würzburg and Munich. In addition, he did a clerkship in Berlin and Rome and he authorized since 1991 as an attorney since 1996. Besides that, he also admitted to the Higher Regional Courts. Since 1991, he did activities in business advisory firms, including at Schürmann & Partner, Berlin, Milan (1995-1997) and most recently at Andersen Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH, Cologne (1998-2001). Since 2002, he has joined Partner and founder of the Cologne office in Ihde & Partner Rechtsanwälte. He has been self-employed since of 2010.
Mr. Schumacher’s was an attorney in economic advising on contract, corporate and tax law operates, mainly for companies with an international dimension. His work focuses on the project and claim management, particularly in the areas of real estate and taxes.
A significant proportion of his mandates have international respect, particularly in Italy and China (People’s Republic including Hong Kong and Taiwan). In German-Italian legal relations, he cared for both cross-border mandates and Italian companies and institutions in Germany. The same applies to the German-Chinese legal relations.
